Architecture for Flight, 2023

Architecture of Care (2023–ongoing), led by Yevgenia Davidoff
shown at Texas State University San Marcos, TX
In this series I cast discarded plastic food packaging in cement, preserving the structural language of mass-produced objects—ribs, cavities, and domes.
Combined with hand-painted glass, light, and plant elements, these casts form small-scale architectural structures that resemble shrines or fragments of architecture.
Alongside disposable packaging, the work draws on other traditionally dismissed forms—decorative arts, domestic labor, and home-making—reconsidering them as sites of knowledge, care, and cultural value.
What is typically overlooked or discarded is reorganized into something to pause with—fragile constructions that hold light, attention, and care.
